Description:
5g KH2PO4 - Potassium phosphate
KH2PO4 is used in aquariums with almost zero phosphate levels. It is necessary to handle this ingredient carefully, because we prefer to avoid the content of phosphates during plant growth. I recommend the use only to experienced aquarists. In the event of an overdose, algae can grow sharply. KH2PO4 is mainly used in densely overgrown aquariums, where a lack of phosphates can slow down plant growth.

Description
What does PMDD consist of?
You will receive PMDD in the solid state. There are 3 components. 2 pure chemical compounds:
- MgSO4-7H2O (Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate)
- K2SO4 (Potassium sulphate)
and 1 commercially sold fertilizer:
- Tenso cocktail
Tenso cocktail is the most important component of the whole PMDD, because it contains trace elements of iron, zinc, boron and others, which are usually missing in aquariums for good plant growth.
It is also possible to add to PMDD:
- KNO3 (Potassium nitrate)
- KH2PO2 (Potassium dihydrogen phosphate)
What are the benefits of PMDD?
The biggest advantage of PMDD is its price. Commercially sold fertilizers for aquarium plants usually swallow a lot of money when used as recommended. Another advantage is that you do not have to use all the folders. The most common is the omission of KNO3 with a high NO3 content. Another advantage may be the easier storage of unmixed components.
When I order PMDD, do I get instructions for use?
Of course yes! Each sachet is marked with what is in it, how much there is and the whole batch is also marked with the weighing date.
How does PMDD mix?
It is very easy. All you have to do is take a half-liter PET bottle from a drink (dont forget to label it clearly so that no one can sneer) and pour all 3 components of PMDD + possible accessories (KNO3, KH2PO4) into it. Then pour in 400 ml of water, close the PET bottle and mix thoroughly. You can then dose this mixture into the aquarium.
How is PMDD dosed into the aquarium?
Dosage is difficult to determine accurately. It depends on many factors. The two most important are the number of plants in the aquarium and how long the aquarium is run. For newly established tanks, it is better to dose at the upper limit of the recommended dose, for established ones, on the contrary, even half less is enough. For much overgrown tanks again give more, for less overgrown less. The recommended dose is 2-6 ml per 100 liters of aquarium volume. So if your aquarium is eg 300 liters, you will dose 6-18 ml of already mixed fertilizer !!!
